Seeking the Perfect Soul: A Reflection on Holiness, Humanity, and the Jewish Journey

Personal Reflections: A Vision of a Righteous Future

One day, a man will walk this earth – a righteous man, complete in every way. For him, keeping Shabbat and loving life will come naturally. Everything in his world will align seamlessly. He will be Jewish, for only the Jewish people were given the sacred command of Shabbat.

For now, I wander freely, traveling far and wide without overthinking what I consume. I abstain from alcohol but find solace in the green herb. I am not bound to one singular state of mind – I am free to explore. Yet I yearn for a day when a person can exist without apology, when every word they speak spreads goodness across the world.

The Righteous Messenger
This person will not mirror the suffering of Jesus, nor the violence of Muhammad. He will reflect Moses – a leader seeking salvation and holiness, drawing closer to God. He will leave his home, travel to distant lands, and unknowingly carry the weight of transformation. Like an arrow pulled back in a bow, his journey will stretch him to the furthest limits, only to release him with such force that his impact will cut across the world.

No one before him will have traveled so far in pursuit of the Promised Land. His blessings will return peace to the earth, uniting nations from India to Ethiopia, from the Americas to the ancient inheritance of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

A Reflection on the Patriarchs: Their Legacy of Peace

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob stand apart from us. They never bore swords in the name of conquest. Isaac and Jacob never wielded weapons at all. Their strength lay in their faith, their resilience, and their unyielding connection to God.

Practical Insights: Drawing Inspiration from the Vision

  • Embrace Rest and Holiness
Shabbat, at its core, is a gift – a moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Even if keeping it perfectly feels unattainable, strive to find moments of rest and reflection in your life, honoring the spirit of this sacred day.
  • Seek Personal Growth Without Apology
Like the envisioned righteous man, pursue your journey unapologetically. Your path is yours alone, and each step you take brings you closer to fulfillment and understanding.
  • Lead with Peace, Not Conquest
The legacy of the patriarchs teaches us that true strength lies in peaceful resilience. Seek to build bridges and resolve conflicts without resorting to aggression.
  • Be a Blessing to Others
The righteous man’s story reminds us of the power of spreading goodness. Look for opportunities to uplift those around you, offering kindness and positivity in your daily interactions.

The journey to righteousness is not about perfection but about striving for connection – with ourselves, others, and the divine. May we walk paths of peace, inspired by the faith of our ancestors and the hope of a better future.
